Title: Effective practices in classroom management: a literature review

Abstract: There has been a great deal of research on the topic of effective classroom management since the early 1970's with the classic research of Kounin. The scope of teacher behaviors that fall under classroom management is very broad and goes beyond the issue of discipline. This article summarizes effective management practices across different grade levels.
