Title: User considerations in graphic design
Author: Corbo-Hudak, Neva
Abstract: Finding the appropriate balance between form and function is a main component of effective design; however, aesthetic and stylistic concerns sometimes dominate over usability and understanding. This project examines the role of the final user within the graphic design process and investigates strategies graphic designers can use to learn more about users of a graphic design solution. From these findings, designers will be better equipped with tools to gather and analyze user wants and needs, facilitating the development of solutions that satisfy the needs of the intended users and are also aesthetically sound.
