Title: Medical ultrasound imaging using pulse compression

Abstract: Pulse compression techniques can play a major role in improving image quality in medical ultrasound. A prototype imaging and digital signal processing system incorporating this technique is described. Feasibility studies were performed and system resolution was evaluated with experiments on tissue mimicking phantoms.
