Title: A Retrospective on an early software projects course
Author: Etlinger, Henry
Abstract: A capstone, software projects course is described and discussed. This course has evolved over the past seven years and well over 400 students have participated in it. Guiding principles behind the design of the course are discussed and unique aspects of the course are presented. The course demonstrates quite clearly that it is possible for one instructor, without additional support, to teach a project-intensive course, in which students engage in all phases of the typical software development life cycle.
