dc.description.abstract The ever increasingly global competition has driven companies to outsource the development or operations of information technology and informations systems (It/IS) either partially or entirely, either domestically or internationally, in an effort to acquire economic, technological, and strategic advantages. This paper presents a comprehensive framework to helpo managers of both global outsourcing firms and foreign outsourcing providers to fully understand evaluate the experctations, considrations, and implicatinos of global IT/IS outsourcing, so that they can form a successful long-term strategic alliance. The proposed framework covers four basic dimensions of global IT/IS outsourcing, including global outsourcing strategy, global IT platforms, global data sharing, and global cultural environment. en_US
