Presidents (RIT)

 

Dr. Albert J. Simone became president of Rochester Institute of Technology on September 1, 1992. He is the eighth president in the university's 175-year history. He was formerly president of the University of Hawaii System and chancellor of the University of Hawaii at Manoa for nine years. He received his B.A. in economics from Tufts University and his Ph.D. in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Simone has taught at Tufts, MIT, Northeastern University, Boston College, Boston University, University of Cincinnati, and the University of Hawaii. He served as dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Cincinnati from 1972-83.
