Title: A menu driven, user friendly interface to UNIX
Author: Hayward, Mary
Abstract: An interface was developed to provide an environment where an inexperienced UMX user can work effectively within the UNIX operating system. A by-product of the interface results in the user learning a subset of com monly used UNIX commands. The interface incorporates a menu structure which presents the available UNIX functions to the user. When the user selects a function, the inter face prompts him for the required arguments, echos the corresponding UNIX command and executes the command.
